Treatment Programs

Norfolk Lawn Care programs are designed and adapted accordingly to your lawn type and condition, giving your lawn just the right amount of nutrition it needs throughout various times of the year.

All living things need nutrition, or food. With grass plants nutrients are absorbed by the roots from the soil. Fertilisation provides, or supplements, the natural nutrients so the plant will be as healthy and attractive as possible.

The main nutrients are Nitrogen (N), Phosphorous (P) and Potassium (K) together with certain trace elements that the grass plants require to be healthy and strong.

Spring Treatment : February - April

A lawn sand/liquid is applied to the lawn to strengthen the grass plants after the winter dormancy, and to promote a good colour and a kick start to the growing season, at the same time controlling any moss that is present.

Early Summer Treatment : April - June

The lawn is fertilised with mini granules encouraging a strong growth and improve the colour and density of the grass. A broadleaf selective liquid weed killer will be applied.

Summer Treatment : June - August

A poly-coated mini-granule fertiliser using non-scorch technology is applied.

Late Summer Treatment : August - September

A mini granular lawn fertiliser that is suitable for the weather conditions at this time of year is applied to the lawn. Being a controlled release fertiliser, it will continue to nourish the grass plant providing protection from certain lawn diseases, and will help with the growth and colour. A broadleaf selective liquid weed treatment is applied if necessary.

Autumn Treatment : October - December

During the autumn period the lawns are sprayed with a liquid micro-nutrient feed, which gives a long lasting green colour and health support toughening the grass plant against disease. It also assists with the control of moss.
